RUDBECKIA
(BLACK-EYED SUSAN)

Rudbeckia.jpeg

Description

Rudbeckia or Black-Eyed Susan is one of the first dye plants we experimented with.  We grow a domesticated variety of the wild which produces large flower heads. It is drought-resistant and long-lasting both on the plant and in the vase.

Experiments

We have experimented with dying rudbeckia on linen. It produces an earthy yellow colour with greenish hues.
