ST JOHN'S WORT
hypericum perforatum

Description

St John's Wort is a multi-purpose and hardy perennial that is a beautiful addition to a cottage garden. Although it can be invasive, in our climate it is a lovely filler.

Experiments

We have experimented with dying on wool. The first and second dips do indeed produce different colours, the first being a green and the second being a brighter yellow. Both colours were used in the vest picture below. A large amount of flowers and stems are needed and they are best used fresh.
