Indigo is a plant with considerable lore. And for good reason. The magic of seeing blue develop out of green leaves does not grow old.

Experiments
We have experimented with Japanese indigo in various forms. We've used fresh leaves to produce a beautiful lighter blue (see above), have fermented the leaves to create a powder which we used to create a vat (see below) which produces darker blue colours, and have used the dry leaves to produce green/blues as well as purer blues.
